Benapole Relations / Concerns

 Benapole municipality is located in Bangladesh's border with Bangladesh and India in Sharsha upazila of Jessore district. Benapole municipality was formed on 5 January 2006 with a total of 07 (seven) moujas, inclusive of 09 (nine) wards. There are 01 (one) border bases and land port in the municipal area. Benapole customs house is in operation for land port. The Indian side of Benapole is known as Petrapole.Benapole land port is used as the main center of land trade between Bangladesh and India. Calcutta is just 80 kilometers from the municipal town and only 36 kilometers away from the district town of Jessore. Ninety (90) shares of the country's total land trade take place in Benapole. As a result of the municipal level development of only 04 (four) years of municipality, the municipality was promoted from 'C' category to 'B' category by 01/12/2010 and from 'B' class on 20-11-2011 'A' class Is promoted.


Vision 2025

Benapole municipality has an environmentally friendly infrastructure, education, improvement in health system, water logging and traffic congestion, removal of all types of wastes, prevention of drug-free society and illegal entry, and a planned and safe self-sufficient financial and institutional expertise by 2025, including all types of citizen services. Will be built as a port city.
Mission:
In order to build a planned modern city, under the Great Plan, land use planning, transport and road communication management plan will be built in the city by way of construction of bus / truck terminals, roads etc. To create infrastructure for beautification of municipal area and to increase the beauty enhancement, pavement will be constructed along with planting and roads. Drainage system development in the planned way to drain water.
Ensure availability of deep tube wells and overhead tanks, iron and arsenic free water pipelines, on the basis of necessary basis.All financial, administrative and municipal services will be ensured and will be continued for the participation of municipal citizens and other stakeholders including women and poor representatives. For the purpose of establishing an institution as a skilled and self sufficient municipality, recruitment and training of people, construction of municipal buildings and information Activities will be taken for the establishment of e-governance including e-governance.

Rajshahi History Rajshahi district was a part of the Pundra region of ancient  Bengal .
